Since the July mainnet launch was pushed back, more work got done on Townforge. Some bugs got fixed, but nothing bad was found, so the path seems clear for mainnet.
However, I may have periods of unavailability and/or no stable internet access with no notice over the next two or three months. Since I want to make sure I’m around in case of issues needing urgent attention, I will not launch mainnet before those possible issues are behind me. This should get us to early November, so actual launch could happen in November or December.
In the meantime, there will be a testnet restart within the next few weeks, so all the new stuff I’ve been adding can also be tested. This restart will be light on consensus changes - mostly small fixes and tweaks, as most improvements were made game side. I’ll post again closer to that restart.
